Chambers Vision & Mission
VISION – To be a strong partner in enhancing and unifying Wetzel and Tyler County and surrounding area’s economic, cultural, and civic welfare.
MISSION – To create a broad understanding and appreciation of the great opportunities in Wetzel and Tyler County and surrounding areas, and to promote the advantages and assets of our communities through our strategic committees.
We want to be a strong partner in enhancing and unifying Wetzel County, Tyler County, and the surrounding area’s economic, cultural and civic welfare.

Sharon Campbell
Sharon is the executive director of the Wetzel-Tyler Chamber of Commerce, where she is responsible for facilitating economic growth and collaboration among the members. Her extensive career has prepared her well for this role.
Before joining the chamber, Sharon served in the US Army as an intelligence analyst, achieving the rank of staff sergeant. After her military service, she earned a master’s degree in human relations from the University of Oklahoma. She then worked in various roles, including as a training manager for TeleTech Inc. and as executive director of West Virginia Northern Community College’s New Martinsville campus.
Sharon later served as Head-of-School for Mount de Chantal Visitation Academy and as a Title II claims representative for the Social Security Administration. Most recently, she worked as a full-time temporary employee of Catholic Charities, disbursing emergency funds under the CARES Act to aid those impacted by COVID-19.
Sharon is excited to work with the existing members of the Wetzel-Tyler Chamber of Commerce while seeking to increase membership and facilitate real and lasting economic growth in the community.
April Pierce
April Pierce has served as Treasurer for the Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce since January 2020 until January 2023 when she was voted on as President. April is the Branch Manager of Peoples Bank in New Martinsville, a role that she has excelled in for 6 years. During those years at Peoples Bank, she has dedicated 3 years as a Business Champion. One of April’s passions is to help and grow small businesses, as well as having a positive impact on the people of Wetzel County. Ashley Blake
Ashley has served on the Wetzel Tyler Chamber of Commerce for the last eight years where she was most recently elected to be the Vice President. She serves on several of the Chamber’s sub committees, including the Membership and Community Engagement Committee and the Events and Special Programs Committee.
Ashley spends most of her free time being an active member of her community and all the surrounding communities. She also volunteers with multiple groups and organizations. When not working, she can be found running around, playing, and having fun with her two children, Owen and Adalynn.
Ashley is a 2007 graduate of Valley High School and attended Fairmont State University where she studied Business Administration.

Andrea Melott
Andrea Gregg joined the Wetzel Tyler Chamber Board in 2022. Andrea is the Branch Manager of Peoples Bank in Sistersville and has been with Peoples Bank since 2015. One of Andrea’s favorite parts of her job is helping the clients of Tyler County and surrounding areas. Andrea is also the Co-Treasurer/Secretary for the Tyler County Family Resource Network.

Debbie Thomas
Debbie is Vice President, Deposit Operations Officer at First Mutual Bank. In this role, she helps oversee the day-to-day operations of the deposit area of the bank, as well as supporting the teller line and working directly with customers. Debbie has extensive experience in the financial services industry, starting as a teller at First Mutual Bank’s predecessor Doolin Security Savings Bank in 1984. She was steadily promoted to positions of greater responsibility and leadership, including most recently Compliance Officer. Debbie attended West Virginia Northern Community College and has received advanced training through a number of financial services industry courses and seminars. She previously served as the Treasurer of the Tyler Consolidated High School Band Boosters and Treasurer of the American Red Cross–Wetzel County Chapter for 15 years.
